To prevent the spread of atypical pneumonia on school premises, all schools had suspended their classes from 29 March till 22 April 2003. Parents were advised not to let their children go out unless absolutely necessary and avoid bringing children to places outside Hong Kong which are affected by atypical pneumonia.
